Are you seeking a part time position with variety and challenge? Do you have strong administrative, communication, writing and proofreading skills? Due to continued growth, The Appraisal Institute is seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Coordinator to provide support for the developers and designers of our online education programs. This role will require multi- tasking with competing deadlines and interacting with our team at various stages of a process or project. This position is remote with a set schedule of 4 hours daily, Monday through Friday with a schedule of 8:00 am 12:00 pm CST or 9:00 am 1:00 pm CST.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and communicate with developers and designers regarding online and synchronous education drafts to ensure necessary components are included.
  • Prepare and research incoming education program proposals for further review.
  • Send notifications regarding revisions, additions and/or deletions to education materials to instructors, students, and delivery teams. Notify instructor and students of special instructions prior to start of class.
  • Respond to questions from development teams and students.
  • Prepare and monitor status of developer and reviewer contracts.
  • Prepare invoices for developer and reviewer honorariums and expense reports. Monitor to ensure that payments are processed.
  • Conduct review of electronic and print materials.
  • Revise and maintain database course description pages, website pages and online education course templates
  • Create, evaluate, update and implement Standard Operations Procedures (SOPs) documents for production of education materials and database maintenance.
  • Update and maintain reports for technology-based education, including course evaluations and Excel reports.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in English, Journalism or Communications or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years' experience in administrative services, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Availability to work 4 hours daily (8:00 am to 12:00 or 9:00 am to 1:00 pm Central Time)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proofreading proficiency
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat
  • Knowledge of basic database entry experience
  • Detail oriented with time management and organization skills with the flexibility to adjust to changing priorities.
  • Ability to work remotely and independently
